What's with this Presa Canario?

This is a breed that is known for aggressive behavior. You probably recall that a number of years back, two of them attacked a woman in an apartment building in San Francisco and literally tore her up. The dogs were owned by two other residents of the building who were keeping them for an adopted adult son who was currently incarcerated. There had been numerous complaints about them from the other residents for biting and lunging at them but it didn't turn tragic until this woman was attacked.
