Why is it important to participate in the presidential elections, specifically to college-aged students?

I am starting a group at my college to educate students on voting for the upcoming presidential elections. An big part of this project is making students want to vote, and making it clear why their participation is important. I am currently putting together a small brochure about this topic specifically, any help brainstorming is appreciated.
