What is meant by diplomatic immunity forambadors,attaches,nd others of the emby staffand their families?

Diplomatic immunity means- the emby staff such as ambador,attaches and their families will be treated as special people and they will not come under the laws of the country, hence they were not arrested or punished; and more or less they will be given special treatment like guests from a friendly country and the same treatment will be reciprocated to the others country's diplomatic missions.
