My 2 1/2 week old cries when i put her down... normal?

the past few days whenever she falls asleep i gently set her down in her binet or bouncer and she immediately wakes up and starts screaming... the only thing that makes her stop is if i hold her... is this normal? i cant get anything done!! i need some help!
