2002 saturn sl1 fan and ac problems?

My car never worked with the cooling part of the ac for the entire year and a half Ive had it but the heat would for ac and the defrost. But a few months ago my fan stopped blowing and well its summer now and 90 degrees so I would really like at least the fan fixed because its hot as a mofo and i'm tired of the hot wind blowing on me. Anyways, i don't know jack about cars and would just like so tips as to what you think it may be and how much you think it would be to repair it? Right before the fan stopped working, it would cut off for a like a week and then randomly come back on and then one day just cut off completely. Sooo any hints? and if its an easy fix tell me what to do?
